Coding is a tool. People often perceive coding as something that only mathematically and technically inclined people adopt and innovate with. Although it's true that mathematicians and techies often make great programmers, code can also be used by artists and creatives as another means of expression or as way to enhance their work. Creative coding is a marriage of the left and right brain, the logical/ mathematical with the emotional/ artistic. Creative coding allows me to fulfil my need to express at the same time as using and refining my mathematical skills, inspiring a state balance between the intellectual and emotional within myself. This is a collection of some of my creative coding work. All of this work was created using JavaScript code in p5, a visual sketchbook tool. I hope you enjoy!
